I am afraid that drinking more water alone wont help to dissolve it but will help you to pass if if its passable. This is painful in the extreme and not recommended. There aren't organic therapies that work. If you decide to try to pass it unaided, you will need mega pain relief and pee through a teastrainer so you catch the stone. Passing it unaided is not good for the poor kidney, I wouldn't risk it.
I believe some consultants are starting to question ultrasound treatment believing that the small remnants may increase the liklihood of recurrence by acting as seeds for more stones to grow
