Hi

can anyone give me some idea of recovery after an op, its to remove a tumour on the salivary gland and i'm just wondering what sort of time scales to full mobility - as an HGV driver (who does the roping and sheeting)

cheers

Come on Sqad, a histo path report trumps wiki

I will not shift from six weeks.

I imagine he is slef-employed or there wouldnt be this compulsion to get earning again. I mean you know, next day if he can manage it.

fluff, is he getting any further treatment, eg radiotherapy ?
haven't got an answer just want to wish him well and speedy recovery x

thank you

yes he's self employed and my worry is that he will push himself back to work to soon. Personally i'm with you i think it will take about a month, the work he does is very physical neck and shoulders wise but hey, i'm no doctor and i guess each individual heals differently and i think attitude may have something to so with that as well, hes not a sit about doing nothing kind of person so 3 weeks off work will drive him mad anyway

Anne - no radiotherapy, he will need to go back for check ups but it should all come out in one lump as it were...
that's good , fluff :)
