Has anyone ever had these successfully treated? I wanted to buy a nice frock for a night out next month, tried it on, looked at my legs and OMFG, a great big spider vein has appeared. Couldn't get the frock :( so had to make do with a pair of vertinginous tart trotters that I probably won't be able to walk in, but they will look great with black skinny jeans.....well you have to suffer for beauty don't you?

So, has anyone had this scelotherepy (or whatever it's called) done recently and could give me some advice.

Thank you

Takes time to fade. They go brown first then eventually fade but takes longer than a month.

Have you had it done Brin?
Yes I have rocky was quite successful but does take time to fade.
Question Author
Thanks Brin, I'm going to have to google about for prices I think, can't have these veins like this, I'll never wear a skirt again. :(
Rocky....I had them done on my face....and no it wasn't the drink! The Irish ancestry I think....nipped a bit but very successful. Only had one that went brownish for a couple of weeks and it was large on thin skin. If they return I won't hesitate to do them again...good luck. x

Thanks gness. Is it pricey? How do you find out about a reputable physician that does this rather than a quack.

Thanks
Rocky...give me a while and I will look in my file....been a few years now. x
Get a longer frock, rocky.....
Rocky...I went to Aqualine....the lady who did it was called Melanie Smith. It was a clinic in her house. I think...think only..it was about £35 a session. Because it was my face sessions were short and I think I had three.
I have googled Aqualine and can only find local to me. You may have more luck but I would suggest you phone her if you need to. She is lovely and I am sure would give you advice. I do know she works with a surgeon at one of the hospitals here so it's not a fly by night concern...any more I can find for you I will....x

Thanks gness, you're a star, just found her website so I'll give her a call.

Boxy, I tried to get a longer frock but most of them were too short ;(
Quite a few beauty salons do this now. Several friends have been to one in Poole who charges £10 for a 5 minute session, you can only go every 3 weeks. I've recently had my first appt there to remove some on my cheeks, The area was a little raised for a few days but it worked well. I'll definitely be going back.
£10 is really good, Prudie. Mine lasted a little longer than five minutes but not much I think...bit like bee stings isn't it?
Yes or a hot needle but it's so quick it's worth it. This is their website

Blimey that's cheap, I've been researching and it's coming up from £100-200 a session, that being said all the beauty salons that I have looked up only do facial veins not legs. I'll keep looking though.
Ahh I expect there's a big difference between thread veins and what would be considered varicose veins on the legs - they are big and bulgy whereas thread veins are the tiny spidery things..
Question Author
These are definitely thread/spider veins, it just seems that the salons only treat faces and not other areas. :(
Question Author
Lol jno, not quite me though.
