Reassurance From Sqad Needed!
22 Answers
My mum died a few days ago, and i have spent increasing time at the hospital over the last month. The last few days, i never left her side, day and night. My brother and i were with her at the end.
Unfortunately her sisters are being extremely unkind and the upshot is that I'm worried to death about the funeral etc.
My question is: I've got floaters in front of my eyes and am now worried about that! Is it just the stress and will go after the funeral? Could it be it be because i haven't slept properly for over a month? They're not all the time. Just the odd one! X

Floaters are extremely common and may be associated with diabetes and high BP but more commonly are just a sign of the ageing process.
there is no need for medical treatment as in the vast majority of cases, they will either disappear or you will get used to them. IF you get flashes in the eye, white flashes like cameras going off, or a part of your vision is obscured, then you will need to see a doctor.
That situation is extremely uncommon.
Sorry about the death of your mother.

Crisgal... tell her sisters politely but firmly you and your brother will be sorting things out and while they will be welcome at the funeral they will not be involved in any aspect of the planning..
If they continue to be unkind perhaps your brother can deal with them. Right now you need a bit of quiet time.. some sleep and what ever support you can muster... Don't worry over things you can do nothing about do what needs to be done. You have my sympathy though death bring out the worst in some people
