leg thread veins

stress is being caused for me by having unsightly thread veins, I love the summer andhate going about in tights, but it seems that skits anddresses are out and also croppped trousers, it is causing me a lot of anxiety because apart from this I am fairly healthy.can you give me a name of a good consultant I can go to. I live between hastings and eastboure in sussex. thanking you in anticipation.

russelbird, go to your GP. He will give you the name of a reputable person. There is treatment for thread veins but I'm not sure whether the level of anxiety and embarrassment they cause you would be sufficient to warrant treatment on the NHS. I suppose that depends on the severity, so you may have to consider having them removed privately, as they are considered to be a cosmetic rather than medical necessity. Varicose veins , on the other hand, can be treated on the NHS.
