anyone help or have any idea.
for a time i have had a feeling of lump at the base of the throat, when lying down i can feel it, doing some gentle meditation exercises and when leaning forward it is a bit painful, neck looks slightly swollen round the right side down to the base of the throat. Also trouble swallowing food, have to do that slowly. The back of my neck is stiff and turning head is somewhat painful.
i did, and not due to go back till next week. I went there to see about the back, seeing as how that has been a long term problem, and told her what i have said above.
A common problem.
There IS either a lump there or there ISN,T.....only a medically qualified person can answer that question.........and more commonly there isn't a lump.
Em, you need to get a scan. Try not to worry though - I had a similar 'lump' that turned out to be a non-malignant tumour on my thyroid. I think that's quite common - but do insist on a scan asap. The quicker it's investigated, the better.
i haven't, it's just that these things take an age to get help for. The back scan has been four months, and still waiting for a letter from consultant.
sqad re antibiotics, how long do they take to kick in, is it different for different ones. Doxycline 100mg one a day. three taken so far...
as have had a raging jaw, bridge of nose and facial pain for days - i know this could be linked to the original matter, but had that some time before...
Providing that the organism is sensitive to the particular antibiotic and providing that a diagnosis of infection is correct, then antibiotics should "kick in" ( improvement in clinical condition, within 3 days.
it;s got worse if anything... facial pain, right across bridge of the nose, back of throat very sore, and ears blocked, they keep popping sort of, very painful. pain has run down to the jaw, gums, and now top of roof of the mouth, the doc suggested sinus, which i have had before, usually i recognise that because of the taste and smell, which i haven't had.
any reason the taste buds go crazy, just eating a chicken roll and it's as though it's burning my lips, back of the throat, it's not spicy, and can still taste it. Horrible.
