beezaneez,
Can't really add to the sound advice on here other than to say try not to have any hang-ups about your bits.
The GP will have seen hundreds if not thousands of patients with all manner of slightly differing genitalia and yours will be examined no differently and will in all probability be dealt with matter-of-factly, but it does need looking at one way or another.

Khandro, as a female I see no mystery and neither do most heterosexual males in my experience. ;)
Beez, I've sat on a toilet seat over a bucket with a balloon up my jacksy, I've had rashes covering my whole face and entirely visible head, I've laid back and thought of England while a demon nurse plucks at my insides and I've done the same for years whenever they feel like shoving a stainless steel jaws into my orifice.
No medical procedure is pleasant and no medical procedure is welcome but some things have to be done.
I'm sure you're not from the 50s so there will be more than one doctor in your practice.
You can request a male doctor or a female doctor if you prefer. That's the modern NHS, and before anyone arrives from their ivory tower to slate the NHS, my OH felt pain on Friday, the doctor stayed open for him, got him into admissions instead of A&E, operated on his bad appendix the next day and sent him home fit and well.
All that on a Friday night and home by Sunday. Brilliant IMO and my treatment was no worse if not better.
Go to the doctor Beez. It'll be okay.

Think for once, most people on here agree, if you really want to know what it is, don't kid yourself it's gone away, don't not make an appointment due to feelings of embarrassment, ring 'em up, make and keep the appointment, put yourself in the hands of the Medical Profession and get it sorted!
