How much does a tattoo cost?

Hm...I need to know how much my tattoo will cost. Will be about 1.5"x1.5", no colour just black, and I think it's gonna be quite plain...not very fancy, just a simple cricifix. Does anybody know approx how much it will cost?

yeh it probably won't cost too much if its very plain and not too big. i have 5 tattoos and the most expensive was �40 and its quite detailed - a portrait (about the same size as you want)

My tattooist prices tats on how long they'll take him, so a filled-in black design will be more expensive than an outlined one even if it's small.  He also wouldn't allow you to have it done today - he asks everyone to make an appointment and leave a deposit, which is his way of ensuring that people don't get tats on impulse and then regret them.

the best way to find out the cost is to take the design into a tattoo studio and ask. A word of advice, don't shop around for the best price, this often leads to a bad tattoo. Ask to look at examples of the artist's work, if you aren't happy, go to another tattoo studio etc..

Hi there, i have a black butterfly across the bottom of my back, its coloured in, and about the same size as you want.  It cost me �45.  I also have 3 stars on the inside of my wrist, outlines only, which cost �25.

Clarabel82 is spot on, go somewhere you feel comfortable, not where offers you the cheapest deal.

My tattooist has a repuatation for being expensive, but more importantly, for being excellent!

yes good advise regarding choosing a tattooist.  The chap that did mine is highly recommended and is always very busy.  He also has rules about what he will tattoo where and on whom. He will not tattoo you if you have a cold or are at all unwell on the day.  I would also agree with clarabel and larakitten   cheap is not necessarily the best.  You have this on your boby forever so think carefully before you commit.

I would also like to know how much my tattoo would cost..It is a picture of Elvis and it would be going on my wrist..im not sure the measurements but it would just be little enough to get Elvis' face on my wirst.
