Tesco Repeat Prescription Collection Service

Do you use it? If so, how do you order the prescriptions - online or by phone?

I would have thought they order your prescription from the GP when it is nearing a ' refill' - collect it from the GP , dispense and deliver to your home .

That's the service that boots provide

You fill a form in at your chosen chemist,you need a prescription for them to see what you require,they ring you up to ask what you need,they ring your requirements to your doctor,they fetch the prescription for you,you can either have it delivered(if that service is available)or you collect when its ready.

What I do is when I fill my Mon/Tues box with the last lot of tablets I call into Tesco or phone and order the next lot and it's usually ready for collection in 2-3 days. The only time I've had a problem in three years wasn't Tescos fault but when the G.P. were supposed to be up rating their system and wiped everything out.

Off course as razza says initially you have to register first and on one occassion when I first started using them and forgot to reorder they actually phoned us to see if we were ok.

I order my prescriptions on-line via my doctor's surgery and then toddle down to pick up the prescription a few days later from my chosen pharmacy.

Mine is done by Coop,you have the alternative to order online if you are on systmonline.

Thanks for all replies. I have decided to use Boots as they offer the service I want
