Fed Up And So Uncomfortable
39 Answers
I'm 40 weeks 2 days today but still no baby. I'm ginormous and there is so little room in there for baby that every movement is magnified and I actually feel bruised from the inside. Se doesn't appear to actually sleep that much either.
I've tried hot baths, curries, long walks (almost impossible) but hubby is not prepared to do the deed, and I can't blame him.
I know she'll come when she comes but I am pretty miserable now. And daily texts from friends and family don't bloody help.
Harumph!

Don't worry if your birth doesn't go as you planned. As long as you and the baby are well at the end of it, that is all that matters.
I know it's uncomfortable during the last few weeks but your baby will be here soon enough, and then you'll forget all of this. You might even want to do it again!
Trust me, it's all worth it.

Sorry excelsior I missed your post. Thanks for your kind words. She's our first and much wanted after a few unsuccessful pregnancies...so I really shouldn't moan. I have had a very easy pregnancy this time around, even though classed as high risk due to my age. Hopefully a boringly normal pregnancy will soon move into a boringly normal birth!
Pains are very few and far between though. I thought we were off last night when I woke up with a contraction. But that was it and I fell back to sleep! A bumpy car ride had me squeaking in pain too but, again, it stopped.
Sycamore, that's what you're told at hypnobirthing. Apparently its the fear that exacerbates the pain so if you can chill out as much as poss it will be easier.
Well let you know excelsior xx

Well that makes it all the more special meglet. My daughter was 2 and a half years in the making! I wish you all the best. Don't worry about the birth. Stupid for me to say I know, because i had a c-section so i cheated, and of course you are scared. but trust me, whatever it is like, you really wont care as soon as they pass you that lovely baby. Just focus on what you will be getting at the end of it. Good luck.
I had to read that hypnobirthing word more than twice then because I thought it Said hypo birth and I wondered how you knew my daughter was 8lb 12 born so she was on the biggish side. With regard to chilling my daughter was my 2nd child so I knew what to expect. But the advice is correct. Just let it happen and don't worry.
