My sister is now home after having had a double heart bypass. I spoke to her on the phone last night and she seemed to be moving about so I asked her what she was doing, she said that "the doctors gave me an exercise to do at home which just seemed like dusting, so I thought I might as well do some dusting while I am at it. The doctors did warn her that she would be in severe pain and would be happy if she tried just a few steps each day.
It just made me realise how lucky I am, but I still moan an groan about niggly little aches and pains.
My sister has been in and out of hospital since the age of 11 and I have never once heard her complain.
I will never moan again. (I hope)
From time to time we all see or hear about something that makes us greatful for what we have. Your sister sounds incredibly brave. I moaned this morning to my mrs over something really trivial and have spent the day feeling very sheepish!
Well done to your sister, I hope she recovers well.
I said I'd never complain about small things after I recovered from a serious illness...but I do, we all do, we're just human. :)
