Just got to cure the other half of snoring now as I'm too scared to use earplugs now.
Thanks for asking :)

Rockyracoon, I have a snoring husband to the extent I come close to doing him harm. I got an iPod shuffle by chance, it's about an inch square and costs about £40. I have my favourite music on it, it doesn't stop him snoring but it gives me something else to focus on. It uses ear phones but they're a bit more comfy than earplugs, I never had any success with those.
Go to your GP. I have had eczema on my face and tried all sorts of stuff but they didn't work. Yesterday I got some hydrocortisone cream from my GP to use twice daily and put it thinly on my face only on the affected skin for 5 days. When I got back from the chemist I read the leaflet and it clearly says do not use on the face, so I go back to the Chemist shop and the Pharmicist said that they could also sell the cream over the counter but not to someone to use on their face. But they can dispense it on prescription from the GP to use on the face. I am mightily confused by all this and not too sure about it, it thins your skin if you use it too long. It is working though.
Blacki, the earplugs are usually fine but this time I've had a devil of a job getting rid of the wax. The iPod idea might work especially if I put some boring music on it, that might put me to sleep. One problem I can think of though, I'd have to sleep on my back and that makes me snore ;)
I could really do him a doing sometimes, he's sounds like a frigging pig.

AYG, I had eczema on my face all through my teens and as much as I shouldn't have used the steroid cream on my face it was the only thing that worked. I nearly ripped my face to pieces with the itching. I need to go to the docs but feel I'm making a list of bits and pieces and just can't bring myself to bother him over so something like a rash that I might be able to sort out myself.
If it's still there when I eventually make an appointment I'll mention it then :)

I went to the docs about something else and mentioned the rash, so he prescribed the hydrocortisone to me. Got really fed up with it, I think it's my hairspray, I've stopped using my usual stuff, I'll go to Boots to see if they have some 'sensitive' hair products. Other than that it could be the tablets I take every day that causes it.
Thanks woof, I'll have a look at that.
AYG it could be almost anything, I haven't changed any of my creams etc and have no idea why this has flared up, it started a few months ago but it came and went without too much fuss but this flare up is angry and itchy and I've had enough. I want to stick pins in my face!

Indeed Pixie, devil and the deep blue sea really, you use it you get thin skin, you don't use it your face becomes a big angry rash. Neither is appealing but I'll go for the thinner skin every time.
That being said though, I used Betnovate on my face and eye lids for years and I don't think I have thin skin.

I had nasty eczema around my eyes for months. I cut things out of my diet, and tried all sorts of creams and emollients. Nothing really worked-it was two steps forward-three back. Until a friend suggested Bio oil....it cleared up in no time, and has not returned for months. I still put it on every night.
