Sinusitus ongoing problem, As you well know i live in spain, and have had this problem for ages now. Every time i see my spanish gp, he palms me off with pills+powders, but these are always a temp fix. Whats the chances of seeing a spanish ENT specialist? Do i have to get on bended knee for an appointment?
or should i go to the uk?

It all had something to do with the inner ear and re infections. Worked for her.
well seems like you have your answer you are changing altitudes ,Piggy. as I said its something to do with the inner ear closing over where the infection (sinusitis) is when you go up an the infection then mutates (for want of a better word) so you are then treating new infection that is probably immune to the antibiotics you use.
If its that bad give it a try till its cleared up once . You have nothing to loose.

piggy, my OH suffered severe sinus pain at altitude a few years back (at its worst, made flying - and driving in mountains - very painful. His consultant determined that he had an obstruction/pinch in one of the little tubes from the sinus cavities, so the pressure in his sinuses wasn't adjusting to altitude. It was dealt with under general anaesthetic, and he's fine now.
This doesn't answer your question but it sounds similar to nanny's daughter's problem. Do see a consultant if you can.
