It's Been 9 days since my mole got sent for testing no results back is this good or bad?
I was told by my gp my mole looked benign and it can take up to two weeks to get the results back however if it's been 9 days already with results not back us this a good sign or bad sign. The mole was on the armpit crease like a skin tag and the size of a garden pea brown colour with bits of black in. You could pull it up and and wobble it around from side to side is this healthy? Never itched bled or anything just got squashed when I closed my arm

Its neither. I know from experience how hard the waiting time is and I do sympathise, but if the process takes up to two weeks then the fact that you haven't heard at 9 days doesn't mean anything.
And the fact that it wobbled around, may be a good sign.
I agree with woofgang, if it hasn't been tested yet, it's hard to say. The good news is that your GP isn't worried. Try to put it out of your mind, you've done everything you can for now.

My gp said there wasn't no rush to have it removed either he said just come back when you want and we will remove it for you. A gp isn't always right though with testing and if he was that sure why did he send it off
He was taking a belt and braces approach. The two weeks aren't up yet. Try not to worry.
I'm sure things will be ok and you'll get your results this week. Try not to panic, no news is generally good news in these cases.
Without having seen it, it certainly doesn't sound like a 'nasty'.
He is being extra-careful, which is good. They are looking after you. I hope you get the good result soon and can put your mind at rest xx

Thanks guys just horrible especially when you look after yourself like I do eat healthy and exercise 3 to 4 times a week don't smoke or drink. And reading on melanoma scares the hell out of me
This is the 5th thread on the SAME topic in the last nine days and the answers are all the same.

What answer do you want?

What answer will satisfy you?

Yes, it could be malignant.....is that what you want?

I am exasperated.
I am sure the prison doctor will give you the results
Cyprus....I got my results in three weeks...but you must be honest with your doctor about your lifestyle if you are going to be so strung up while waiting for results....you got drunk and hit a cash machine yet you say you don't drink....The GP can only help with your worries if you are up front with the information you give.
Question Author
Yes I haven't drank since then and I hardly ever drink and I do lead a very healthy lifestyle. I have been on many sun holidays but always creamed up and like I said he told me it was benign and said I didn't need it removed but I will still worry that's natural.
lol "i don't drink" isn't quite the same as "i don't drink .... any more"
Question Author
Erm there is a massive difference everyone drinks every now and then drinking is every Friday and Saturday I don't do that I find some people very helpful on here and others very rude and inconsiderate not helpful at all yeah I post a lot if threads but that it because I want more opinions!!
For what it is worth....I don't believe there was ever a mole and there is no biopsy result outstanding.
sqad, you cynical old ........cynic. :o)

Ok il just spend my two weeks worried to death for no reason wouldn't waste my time if it wasn't true
It is hard waiting I know. The tests take a long time, it is important to get the right result! One thing, if you are concerned about cancer in the armpit area, it is worth changing from any deodorant/anti perspirant which contains aluminium to one which does not.
Cyrpus, have you even read the answers on your other thread? It's the norm to have all moles tested by the lab these days - your GP is doing exactly what he's supposed to do.

How do you know the result's not back? your GP wouldn't possibly contact you on a Sunday.... and what happens is that the result comes back from the lab, the GP then has to review the report of the result, then depending on what it says, either they'll contact you, or you need to ring them mid-morning tomorrow and ask if the report is back. I didn't get contacted because my sample was perfectly normal, but I rang them just to be on the sade side.

You don't have to keep repeating the details - just clicking on your avatar brings back all your previous threads about this.

Stop beating yourself up about this, and ring the surgery mid-morning tomorrow. The fact you haven't heard after 9 days isn't significant at all.
