O.H. has been feeling dodgy for several weeks. had burning when passing water, Says His testicles are slightly aching, they feel like they are being pulled upwards, and pains running up to his sides. The need to pass water quite urgent during the day, but only gets up about twice during the night. uncomfortable to lay on his side in bed as his testicles ache when squashed. He had this before a couple of years ago and it went on its own, no doctor involved.
Any ideas? Tried the NHS online thing, a waste of time.

Does sound like it....go to pharmacist....he may recommend something
Does his urgent need for a wee result in a dribble like women get?

I think he should go to the doctors.

I had a water infection and ended up with kidney infections. It's painful in your side and back.
Just a little more information:

I assume that you have no problems in the vagina.....discharge or pain.
I assume that OH has no discharge from his penis.

How old are you both?

Does the pain come on when he starts passing water or after he has started?

No discharges. He is 67, works, not overwight ( just a bit perhaps) had a psa test last year, very low reading and a finger up the '** check. Pain in sides all the time. pressure in bladder, or that area, feeling the need to pass water nearly all the time, does not go away. Also slight pain in upper leg muscles around the area. ossible temperature.
Thanks....it does sound like a urinary tract infection and probably secondary to a degree of prostate obstruction.

Get him to drink half a pint of water every "waking hour" over the weekend and if on Monday, the problem persists then he should see his GP.

Cranberry juice is useless.
Annie, get him to the doctors.

Lol Sqad.....I agree.

In my experience, water (drink as much as he can) only works if you catch it in time.

Thanks everyone, Will try the water bit on monday and tuesday as we can stay at home. Just a thought, he drinks very little fluids, never has, just a cup of tea in the morning and sometimes one in the afternoon.
a few beers on fridays. This appears to be unlike most people?
thanks,
annie.
