i drink a lot of beer, 6 pints 5 nights a week, i am putting on weight though i eat very very little, infact maybe 2 packs super noodles a day, no bread or anything like that, no chips, pizza etc.

i might start drinking a bottle of rosey wine , though wine gives you hangover right ? i have never drunk wine or spirits in 30 years almost. beer lover only and i love carlsberg and bud. nothing else. i drink to relax but my doc says i have got a problem .

Personally I agree with your doctor. Especially when combined with your other health issues and worries.

If you don't eat properly your body stores weight.

Wine is also very fattening.
So what's your question and do you want an answer?
A pint of your average 5% beer/lager has around 170 kCal. Your daily recommended intake of calories, as an active adult male is around 2,500 kCal. so 6 pints of beer daily = 900kCal a day, close to half your recommended daily maintenance intake of 2,500 kCal.

If you really wish to monitor your calorific intake over concerns about putting on weight, keep a calorie record. Be honest and record everything you eat and drink during the day, then look up what that amounts to. You will be surprised. It is astonishing how easily people "forget" snacks, bars of chocolate, bags of crisps, Kebabs and all sorts, when totting up what they have consumed during the day. People lie about this kind of thing :) Lie to themselves, lie to others.

And more generally - you can , of course, drink whatever you want -you are, as an adult, entitled to drink whatever you want - but 5/6 pints a day? Not good for your health over the long term.

Also, high alcohol use accelerates the progression of HIV, and stops antiretrovirals working as effectively
It's all up to you tho
What do you eat on the two days a week you don't drink?
also, the fact you eat nothing but supernoodles may contribute to the fact you are ravenous! http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Question1302536.html
I agree with the post of davetuc...............what is your question?
If you're only eating a couple of packs of supernoodles, you're not eating nearly enough to compensate for the beer or to give you the nourishment you need. That is indeed a huge amount of beer you're drinking, and yes, beer is fattening - that's why we call it a beer belly.
beez is asking - if I swap the beer for rosé wine will I lose weight?
hc..........ah! right.
Maybe you should eat some protein instead of carbs alone!
Why don't you just drink less beer each night, beez, or only drink say every other night? That would cut down your calorie intake, rather than substituting it with a different sort of alcohol.
... and IMO, you will get a headache if you mix wine and beer (never drink grain and grape on the same evening!)
Oh my!

You are HIV+
Eating a poor diet
Drinking too much
Have a child
Periodically try to improve your diet
Rarely respectful towards your wife
Want to make your self look better but not necessarily get healthier

Seriously, please listen to your Dr and read your posts back to yourself!
This post has very little or indeed nothing, to do with calories or diet.

Could you replace the 6 pints of beer with juices or water and from your original post the answer is clearly .....NO.

You are an alcoholic and i would advice you to contact AA.
Beez....really! It's days since you wanted help because you were eating like a horse......
This is a serious question......why don't you drink seven nights a week?
Super noodles + beer= a diet of just carbs. Your brain will turn to mush on that. Get some healthy food in you,and ditch the beer,as it sounds like your have a potentially serious problem. At the least, you will wind up malnourished with a distended belly...and then think you are getting fat.
PS...supernoodles are just as, or more, unhealthy as bread, chips or pizza.
im curious why/how you don't have alcohol on the other 2 nights ?
