i have meditated for years.with regular practice you will eventually find you can meditate on everything and everything.i found the simplist way to begin with,is to meditate with the thoughts of your own mind.start by being comfortable, that is wearing unrestricted clothing, something simple like loose baggy tracksuit bottoms and top.a comfortable room temperature and if you like soothing music.close your eyes and start your own relaxing exersizes, tensing and untensing your muscles, from your head to your toes. allow all noises to come and go from outside distractions, no need for total silence, noise is natural, you will soon learn to ignore what is necessary to ignore.breath in and out as normal,if you wish take deep breaths and hold for as long as is comfortable, then breath out.allow all thoughts to enter your mind, don't try to ignore them as once again they are natural to the individual.just focus on whichever thought you desire, then when you are ready let it go.do this for as long as you wish.when you feel ready, start to look through your own mind, let your imagination see what it wants to see. no need to be afraid as you are in total control. you can start and stop wherever and whenever you want.a bit like having the controls to your video recorder.
peace and love.
