an 82 year old friend takes wafarinHe has like blood blisters on ha arm.n latelythey have begun to bleed for no apparent reason causying imt be stressful.Can he do anything to stop bleeding?

This sounds like senile purpural haemorrhages (ageing process).....no big deal.
The warfarin I assume is being monitored by blood tests.

See your GP but if the blood picture and clotting times are all normal...as i guess they are.....then little can be done.

thanks sqad .I know your advice is invaluable but is there nothing to be done to stop the bleeding
zak........if as I have said , the blood film is normal and the clotting and bleeding tests are all normal......I have no answer.

I have seen these on older people many times. If they burst and are messy, there are very fine transparent dressings that can be laid over them to prevent infection and keep the clothes clean. they are very waterproof and can be bathed or showered quite a few times before they come off. Talk to the GP about it.
