Nose Piercing

I would quite like to get my nose pierced, with just a tiny delicate stud. I know that in future, especially when I am likely to start a career (maybe 25 onwards) I may regret this. I was wondering if anyone with their nose pierced/knows someone could tell me how obvious the hole is when the stud has been taken out. Thank you.

Hiya Swizz.

I had my nose pierced about ooooo 6 years ago, and its now completely healed over, no marks at all.

I've told this tale before (sorry if you've heard it!) but I woke up one morning with the lace of my pillow wrapped round it. I couldnt work out- in my sleep befuddled state- why the pillow was stuck to my face!

So be warned!!!........lol

I had my nose pierced on one side and then took it out and had the other side done, and there's no mark at all on the first side.  So it may not be detectable at all - but that does depend on your skin.

However, I am 30 and have a 'real' job and nose piercings seem completely acceptable nowadays.  I have two rings in mine and don't have to take them out.  So you may not need to take it out at all.

I had a stud in my nose for about 9 years, quite a large one, and after 3 months of having taken it off, the hole is beginning to fade. You have to be really close to notice it. However, I was a bit worried when I first took it out, cause the hole was HUGE and very noticeable ( by me anyway ). But it seems to be healing very fast now.  ( Phew !  ) I think it all depends on your skin type, and how thick your skin and cartilage are on your nose. I wouldn't worry too much about it !
I have a very very feint scar where i had my nose pierced, it hardly notices at all.

My nose was pierced, I removed it, it grew over in about a day...then later I got it pierced again in the same spot....months went by, I graduated college, had to get a real job...and took it out once again, grew over in a day, completely, no scar...only a little tiny bump on the inside of my nose where it was pierced....

I kept very small studs in it and left it in all the time, even during sleep, washing my face, etc....because my skin heals over very quickly...

good luck!

apparently according to a tattooist and piercer, the hole will heal over so that u cant replace the stud within 12 hours, and should in most cases fully heal within 3 weeks.

Also, if u have a very small and delicate stud rather than a large ring or something, most employees may accept this
