What is it with the shoes girls?

Why are most women obsessed with shoes? I've also heared that it's the shoes that are the first thing they check out on a bloke that they could be interested in. So come on girls what is it with the rhythm and blues?

I'm the only girl I know who really couldn't give two hoots about shoes- as long as they're comfy, I don't really care! Not that I want to give everyone the impression that I walk around in espadrilles all day...

I love em!  I bought a pair  last Saturday and another pair on Tuesday. Can't tell you why I love them so much.  I just do.

I'm a man and I love shoes. When I was younger I used to wear a lot of nice clothes but I have put on a hell of a lot of weight (I'm 22 Stone now) so I can't buy anything other than old potatoes sacks.

But shoes are great because I still have size 8 feet so I can buy pretty much any pair I fancy.

Same as some of the others - they are just something to cover my feet! I bought myself a good pair of trainers & I love them but shopping for shoes is a real nuisance.  I am in the love handbags camp though - I could easily become obsessed if I could only afford to be!!

I go for comfort in shoes more than anything. But I do have a real weakness for handbags.

I did use to check out guy's shoes when I was single and looking for a "mate" as I often found the most gorgeous looking man wearing shoes that was a definite No No. If I saw a really gorgeous man who was wearing shoes which was so worn out and horrible I used to think if he can't look after his feet which carry him around all day what's he like with the rest of his personal hygiene.

My other half on the other hand has got a huge shoe fetish. Boy, I have never seen anyone with so many trainers. So am glad I have found someone who looks after his feet as well as himself.

I love shoes...and bags and hats and scarfs becuase:

1. Your shoe size doesn't really change, unlike dress size

2. Accessories can change an outfit

3. You can wear the same shoes etc for days on end without having to wash

4. You don't have to be a particuler shape or size to have any of them

5. You get more use out of them than most clothes

Because good shoes and bags are beautiful, amazing things! Mmmm, I think i'll just go look at my new shoes again!

I'm a 17 year old girl and I don't care about shoes. I think alot of women and girls like to have lots of different pairs of shoes to alter their outfit. Like in the daytime they could be wearing some jeans with trainers and then wear the jeans going out somewhere but with heels to look a bit more 'sexy'. But then shoes are clothing so having a lot of shoes is not much different than having a lot of t-shirts/dresses etc.

i think you can tell alot about a person by looking at their shoes, if a guy was wearing bad shoes then i'd deffo keep away!!
