Hi,
My granddaughter has some broken glass in her foot, the hospital want to put her under, then cut the heel and remove it. how safe is the gas? would you go ahead or look for alternative ways , such as local pain releif etc.? Very worried, as tomorrow is the day.

Hope she is recovering well. Gas was probably safer than a local anaesthetic, those both are reasonably safe, aren't they?

was a bit worried as it was sunday, few staf in the hospitalf, not had good reports about this hospital, but alls well. with older people, no problem, little children, thats a worry all your life, even when the little children are adults, and i have two children, nine grandchildren, six great grand children. i will worry til I die. and, of course, i am skint, a birthday nearly every week it seems.
It is very reasonable to be worried when your kids are in hospital.

children such as your grandchild recover v quickly from anaesthesia
and tear around the ward a few hours after

have a relaxing gin or two .....

cant suggest anything useful about the presents tho'
