When somebody is being taken to hospital with severe dehydration and organ failure, what is most likely to happen. Would they make a good recovery?

Doesnt sound good does it, with her organs failing.

EDDIE long long story, but she shut herself away feeling very ill and ongoing health problems, and she couldnt face things any more, and I think she just wanted to wither away and die. She loves her family so much, but couldnt cope any more. She's had 3 transfusions since arriving in hosp just 3 days ago?
I've had something akin to this after an operation went wrong. I'm assuming they are rehydrating her at the moment and keeping a good eye on whichever organs have the problem.
I'm still here and raring to go right now. So don't start panicking.
She's in the best place. I wish her all the very best.

Sea Pee. Thats quite reassuring to read.
She's had an immediate drip put in, blood transfusions and more to come.
we know she has been so poorly for such a longish time.
They have been giving her all the attention that is needed.
Just remembered. She could hardly talk y/day, just whisperings to try and make herself understood.

I shouldn't place to much emphasis on the term "organ failure" it is often misleading and unhelpful, tending to be verging on sensationalism.
If she is having transfusions of blood I presume which in itself could be due to many reasons.
It doesn't sound too good.....but that is all that one can say with the information that you have given.

methyl, she has since this post had enough blood transfusion.
Cant ask too many questions as there is so much going at mo.
Her mother did mention kidneys, liver failing?
No doctors reports till Monday, and it seems she is so very ill.
I am just praying that she pulls through.
Will get back to you after the weekend. Thanks again for replying x

pusskin.....the medical understanding of the diagnosis of "multiple organ failure" is quite precise and the diagnosis and term is only used following quite exhaustive investigations.
IF diagnosed, the future is bleak...at best a 50/50 chance of survival and at worst certain death, depending upon the cause.

Sqad, thanks again for reply.
We are all in limbo right now. Parents very worried and said a few days ago that her future doesnt look good, poor ole soul.
This in an going problem(mental health too) that has led her to be so ill after she has locked herself away and just slept and slept, untill they have forced their way in a few days ago. She has now hit rock bottom, and has lots and lots of tests and more to come on Monday.
We are all fearing for her recovery. Cant say no more but really appreciate all your replies and helping to put my mind at rest.
I said she is 58 .. she is 48. My stupid mistake writing that .

She has just been taken to intensive care.
Blood count mostly back to normal, but Doctor said theres room for her to deteriate! Now on catheter, cant pass water. Feet still ballooned up swollen and she looks so much more yellower than wednesday when took to hospital.
Not looking good is it? Mum and dad in tears .
