My   husband really does change his behaviour around the time of the full moon. I can only say that I have noticed this increasing for a number of years and he becomes really irritable, bad tempered, depressed and morose - particularly with me!  Is this really possible?  Does anyone know or has experienced similar changed behaviour or psyche?

Absolutely and totally. If you think what the Moon does to the sea- how it completely controls the tides, and then think what it must be doing to us- bearing in mind that we are a high % of water too.

I had a diary once with moon signs in and it was fascinating to read when they were changing and what attributes they had.

Is he a cancerian? Cos apparently as a moon sign, they can be affected in some cases.
Does he get really hairy as well?

i thought i was losing my mind when my boyfriend started acting strange for a couple of days and then as if by magic and overnight he turned normal again., i thought i had imagined it! the same irritable and bad temper..eurgh!

When I worked at BT we came to dread the full moon! All the weird, creepy and decidedly odd people rang us then, and not otherwise;so yes I think the moon does affect people.

Of course the word "Lunatic" comes from Luna(The Moon) so I should not have been surprised!

I find it really hard to sleep coming up to and during a full moon. Normally I'm off as soon as my head hits the pillow but during a full moon I'm tossing and turning for hours. It wasn't until my mum told me she had the same problem I realised the link.
I find it amazing that in these suposedly enlightened times anyone still entertains this kind of belief. Its nonsense.
Did you use your real name? If so does your husband know you have posted about him? If he doesn't, and someone tells him I watch out at the next full moon!
I'm surprised that Impret-Sir feels its all nonsense.  When I worked for an out of hours gp service we used to dread the full moon.  Our call rate for psychological problems used to double.  We had two particular patients, one male, one female (not related!) who would start to make calls to us 2 days before a full moon.  They would make up to 5 - 6 calls per shift.  The calls would tail off again a day or two after the full moon.  Anyone in the medical profession will testify to the fact that a full moon definitely has some (detrimental!) effect on psychological problems.  I currently work in a hospital social work dept., and we have several neuropsychiatric patients.  I have already had 6 phone calls today from two of those patients today.!  When was the full moon?!
Yes - my husband is a Cancerian and he is so affected by the full moon. I don't actually notice when the moon is full - I know by my husband's behaviour. Also heard something which I'm not sure is fact or fiction, but apparently there a lot more crimes committed around the full-moon....?
The reason why I believe it to be nonsence is that, as a scientist, I look for a credible, repeatable, demonstrable explanation for things. If people think this is true, but only because, "every full moon all my neighbours start acting funny" or such like, then that is not evidence. If this is true, then how does it work? Why does it happen? The argument that because the gravitational pull of the moon makes the tides go in and out, and we have lots of water in our bodies, therefore, of course, the moon makes us behaive strangly too, just doesnt stand up to scrutiny. For example, why dont astronauts in space, or even actually walking on the moon, where the effects of gravity are different than on earth, suddenly become irritable and/or depressed?
