Many years ago, I did a body modification. I did it to mark an event in my life.
I did it cos I was scared of pain , I did it cos I wanted to take back control.
I have hidden it for a while, but after a comment from Gness "Ferlew is feisty" , I thought soddit, and have reinstated the modification this evening.
Yayyyy me, go Ferlew :)

Lol clanad, yes it hurt like a buqqer but 12 months later it had healed :-)

It is a tribal piercing, usually done at manhood to prove oneself after hunting certain dangerous quarry. It was worn with great pride and envied by other tribe folk. When I had it done there were only two piercers in the country that would do the piercing. When I enquired I was told that no anaesthetics would be given as you have to endure the pain to earn the right to wear it. I was fascinated and drove 100 hundred miles to have it done. I loved it , I dont wear it these days and it has healed over. It also makes you pee like the rose on a watering can as the bar passes through the urethra, definitely a "sit down to pee" job lol.

I have 4 tattoos and did have nose and navel piercings, none of them were a secret though all but the nose stud and one tattoo were hidden to anyone who I wasn't intimate with I suppose.

To me all my strength of mind to have the one tiny one I have.
Yes as a young teen, who's mum wouldn't agree to ears piercing, I did mine with a boiled darning needle.
The very thought gives me the ab dabs now.

Belly (incentive to tone my tummy, err didn't really work!), nose and the rest in my ears though I rarely have anything in any of them any more, only really very occasionally a pair of earrings.

The whole darning needle thing...ewwww, I couldn't! All mine were done in piercing places/hairdressers.

I know Eve, but as a young teen in 1961, we did not have cash to go professional, we did our own, or each others if we could.
