What is your experience of this- my period is about 11 days late. This never happens! I usually feel very swollen and massive in the days leading up to it, and then return to normal a few days in, once it's started. I seem to have just been getting more and more rotund, my belly is huge, and there's no sign of it! Has this happened to you? And what if it never arrives?! (I'm 44)

If you're never normally late I'd suggest you were either pregnant or perimenopausal. Perhaps you get some test done to make sure? The swollen belly thing before a period is pretty normal I believe.

when i got like that it turned out i had a fibroid. Im not saying you have btw but the best thing to do is go to the docs and get it checked out

I agree with the advice of Prudie.

If the swollen belly is only of 2 weeks duration, then monitor the situation for the next 4 weeks.
