Freaked Out Someone Knocked On My Door At 445Am

Hi there I am totally freaked out somebody knocked on my door at 445am it was a woman never seen her in my life. I completely ignored it and she went away but this has freaked me out Im thinking all sorts of things like is someone after me but I am also trying to think logically I live in a block of 15 flats I am on the ground floor and there is a back door right beside me that is supposed to be locked but is always left open when people go out for fags so maybe somebody has got the wrong house a bit worse for the wear but it has really freaked me out

Gordie, have you ever considered a Door Spy hole /a chain? those items give you a bit of security & they do not cost a lot to fit in place.

I had a similar experience a few years ago when I was living in a town. At about 3am one Sunday morning a rather drunk young man was trying my door handle and yelling through the letterbox. I hid under the duvet (I'm brave, me) and eventually the neighbour came out and took him inside. Turns out he was a friend of his and had just got the wrong house.

It did freak me out at the time as I was living alone, middle of the night, I had been sound asleep etc etc.

I'm sure she was just at the wrong door. Folk up to no good rarely knock on your door first.

If it makes you feel any better, how about beefing up your door locks, maybe get a spy hole installed?

I've had this happen to me in the past and it's really scared me too but it really will be nothing - probably drunk or confused and not targetting you at all. Try to forget it.

people go to the wrong house like they ring the wrong number on the phone. It happens all the time, even at night. Nothing to freak out about. (And sure enough... nothing whatever happened to you except you lost some sleep.)
