GHD Hair Straighteners in USA
I am travelling to America and i'm worried that my GHD's will not work over there. Can anyone tell me if they will or not, or what I would need to do in order for them to work?

My GHD's never got to the point where the little light flickers like they do here when up get up to temp. They did straighten my hair, but not as easily as they do at home. Don't worry about it, they will do the job, but it may take longer - I was on a tight schedule (road trip) & could never be bothered taking the longer time needed when leaving motels at 8am every morning!!
Have a good time.
Depending upon how often you come here, or how long you're going to stay, it might be worth your while to buy a straightener while you're in the US (something like this - would run you about 10 pounds: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000A1WGK/103-7913735-3908637?v=glance)
I used to use the electricity converter thing when I traveled to the UK and never had great success with my hair dryer and curling iron due to the difference in currents, so I finally broke down and bought some inexpensive appliances at Boots that I use whenever I'm in the UK.
