Omg .....in Agony With Teeth

back teeth, very sensitive to coffee and cold air. wondering is it an infection as i had one there before about 6mths ago then it went away after i took penicillan.

how long before antibiotics to kick in ?

i would rather have my willy put through a clothes mangler than have this pain

Penicillin works VERY fast. Don't know about antibiotics. Don't suffer, if this pain continues, you MUST go back to your dentist. Toothache is nightmareish pain. Absolute h**l.
As for the appendage and a mangle... no you wouldn't !! xx

I can't see that antibiotics have any part to play, as there is nothing to suggest an infection.

I would suggest Ibuprofen if the pain continues and make a dentist appt.

Could be an infection. When my tooth got infected I really felt the pain of cold air.

Antibiotics for me work really quickly. I suppose each person is different.

Could be. Sound like the tooth rather than the nerve. But these things can be deceptive at times. Had to happen on a Saturday of course. Get yourself booked in with the dentist ASAP. Ibuprofen might give you some relief until then.

sounds more like sensitive teeth than an infection - is the gum painful to touch? What happens if you keep your mouth shut? I second Sqad's suggestion, painkiller and see your dentist.

A temporary way to ease the pain is to use neat oil of cloves on a tissue and bite on it (get from chemist in morning) take painkillers tonight - ibuprofen.

My infection (wisdom tooth) was in my gum and the cold air really hurt.

I actually went to my doctor. He said I should have gone to the dentist but felt sorry for me so prescribed antibiotics.

Could it be a gumboil? I had an abscess under a one of the few good teeth I had left. It was very painful.

started taking amoxicillan antibiotics yesterday ( lucky i kept a box from 6 months ago ) the pain is now easing this morning.
