Shifting unwanted weight
hi- can anyone help me??
I have recently put on quite a bit of weight around my thighs and bottom but it is starting to make me really unhappy. I am a reasonably healthy person and dance twice a week and walk as much as i can, but have injured myself quite badly {so have put on weight} but to compensate cut down on unhealthy foods so that i dont put on any more weight. But in the meantime can anyone suggest any gentle exercises to help so that i can start shedding a few excess pounds??!!!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.sorry to hear about your injury. it depends on what is inured as to what you are able to do. my best recommendation re eating is not to eat after 6pm, not at all. it will make a huge, huge difference and can make losing weight really easy. i know you will be hungry but you will soon get used to it. in fact, when i go to bed hungry i feel good about myself as i know it's doing such a lot of good. and.... when you wake you are totally empty and you feel great. it will soon start to make a very big difference. it's hard, but worth it and doesn't take long to get used to.

I would recommend squats for helping lose weight and tone your thighs and bum, you can just go a little way down if you need to be gentle. I have Davina's workout DVD and she does alot of exercises for that area and shows you a gentler version. Its a good one for keeping you fit everywhere
hi goldie, i read an article online, and it stated that in order to better controle the wieght problem, it's not enough to cut down only on junk food but also to cut down on portion size, these portion sizes has to be equal throghout the day. I know this sounds cliche, but the reason behind this is that when you consume equal amount of calories each meal, your blood sugar level will be stabelised-not too high, not too low. when it's too high the pancreas releases insulin-the hormone responsible for converting extra blood sugar to fat and carrying it to fat cells to be stored. so don't wake up the dead-insulin i mean
