I wish I had bought myself chocolate from the corner shop, but I bought sherry, and it's yucky. I thought sherry was red and tasted nice, but this one is light yellow. It's called Tio Pepe Extra Dry Palomino Fino. (just saying, so you can avoid it). The walk on the beach was lovely. It rained all the way there, but when I got there the sun came out and it was beautiful. Thank you everyone for suggestions. I will try meditation later.
What a brilliant question. I think you've half answered it already by asking here!
My life survival techniques have included: burning incense, going for a 'forest bath' (ie. a meditative walk in the woods). Photography, playing a musical instrument, relaxing on bed with a favourite fantasy (eg. imagining yourself somewhere nice with someone nice).
A friend of mine once said that when life gets you down, it's time to focus on the silly little (good) things you normally take for granted.
Several comedy films or Youtube clips have often helped, I have some perennial favourites.

np :-)
I like watching 'best bits' of things like The IT crowd, Outnumbered, Blackadder.
I also have fun with stuff that people have made themselves, there is one guy called "Butchykid" who makes spoof ghost/bigfoot 'captures' - very slapstick. Some of the "low lights" of old X-Factor shows make me laff, the one with Rachael the prostitute was a favourite of mine for a while!
