Does anyone have any tips on lifting your spirits when you're feeling tired of things? Is there anything that works for you, that you could pass on. Thanks

Thanks all. OG, I've got plenty of people with me, so company is not an issue. I wish I had bought myself chocolate from the corner shop, but I bought sherry, and it's yucky. I thought sherry was red and tasted nice, but this one is light yellow. It's called Tio Pepe Extra Dry Palomino Fino. (just saying, so you can avoid it). The walk on the beach was lovely. It rained all the way there, but when I got there the sun came out and it was beautiful. Thank you everyone for suggestions. I will try meditation later.
Mari, you bought very dry sherry.(Ok for trifles) Maybe you'd prefer the old Harveys Bristol cream sweet sherry.
Glad you enjoyed your walk. As you say, next time do it with a bar of choccy.

The man in the shop showed me the Harveys one, but I picked the cheap one :-(. Never mind, I'll know next time. Can you put that yellow sherry in other recipes?
I'm sure it can maybe be baked into cakes or something but I always just use it for trifles. xx
Marijn ... A haircut & new makeup/ clothes does it for me ... & listening to some nice music like this x

You're funny . It's from the film 'Twilight' Jan.
As some others have already said, some exercise. And volunteering gets you out of the house and helping others at the same time.
I'm not so sure about the suggestions to have a drink. Alcohol can be a depressant.
Walking the dog nearly always helps me, also some favourite, happy music.
I talk to the one person in the world guaranteed to lift my spirits & make me smile - she's wonderful & I'm lucky beyond measure to know her :-))

Thank you for all your help everyone. Lie-in King, that's lovely that you know someone who can always cheer you up :-)
What a brilliant question. I think you've half answered it already by asking here!
My life survival techniques have included: burning incense, going for a 'forest bath' (ie. a meditative walk in the woods). Photography, playing a musical instrument, relaxing on bed with a favourite fantasy (eg. imagining yourself somewhere nice with someone nice).
A friend of mine once said that when life gets you down, it's time to focus on the silly little (good) things you normally take for granted.
Several comedy films or Youtube clips have often helped, I have some perennial favourites.

Thanks Answerprancer. What are your favourite Youtube clips for cheering yourself up?
Realising that you can still feel the wind in your hair and the rain on your face. Makes you hope that there will be a rainbow!
I find going for a walk really helps. Just me and the sounds of nature. Reading a good book or listening to music helps as well. I like listening to BBC Radio 4 extra, I like all the old comedies, such as The Navy Lark and Dads Army.

np :-)
I like watching 'best bits' of things like The IT crowd, Outnumbered, Blackadder.
I also have fun with stuff that people have made themselves, there is one guy called "Butchykid" who makes spoof ghost/bigfoot 'captures' - very slapstick. Some of the "low lights" of old X-Factor shows make me laff, the one with Rachael the prostitute was a favourite of mine for a while!
