My Mum Update

My Mum died this afternoon at 1.40. Just thought I would post here for those who had commented on her situation.

Thank you. She faded away so quickly and we are a bit shell shocked. I am heartbroken but I will get over it as one has to do.

I know I will Clanad. It`s just that it was so hard to watch her fighting for breath and watching her breathing becoming shallower and shallower until she just stopped breathing. I think I kind of knew what to expect but my sister didn`t know what to expect and she is in a terrible state. Thank God my company have let me have some time off from work.

SJ, were you with your mum when she died ?

Ann - yes, thank God. The hospital had arranged for a bed to be brought to my Mum`s house (with the associated care) so that she could die at home but the Sister phoned me this morning and said that we should get to the hospital quickly as Mum had deteriorated overnight. We arrived at the hospital about three hours before my Mum died. I`m glad that they didn`t take my Mum home because that would have been too traumatic for her
