Does Pasta Increase Blood Sugar? 13.9 This Morning
8 Answers
My blood sugars have been relatively stable recently but this morning they were 13.9 the only thing I did differently yesterday was have a lasgne for dinner. I had the same issue with pizza so i stopped eating that. I have had it before with lasagne i thought it was a one off but I am wondering if pasta is a carb and if so does the body in someone with type 2 convert it to sugar?

Its a processed carbohydrate...which converts to sugar/glucose.( in ALL bodies...not just T2s) It's made with wheat...as is bread, pizza, biscuits, crackers. I could go on and on. Ditch the processed carbs...and try to do some reading to educate yourself.
I'm no doctor, but being a diabetic you shouldn't eat any of the previously mentioned foods. Get your carbs from veg and low sugar fruits.

Wholegrain pasta would be a better choice, Gordie.
