Loss Of Feeling
5 Answers
Hello. Recently I have had trouble with my left hand fingers losing their touch and having a tingling sensation down to the tips. I also have trouble with my left shoulder joints when I try to put on or remove a coat or shirt etc.I have mentioned this in case the two could be related trapped nerves etc.

The problem is mainly when I wake up and have been lying on my left side. If I flex my fingers continuosly for a few times it eases off somewhat and during the day it is not that noticeable.Apart from anything else it is probably down to old age. Thanks for your help.S.O.G
I lost touch and grip in my left hand, slowly, 10 years ago. When i pick stuff up,I have to "tell" myself to hold onto it. Arthritis setting in,as you say! No big problem in the greater scheme of things! Have lost" feeling "in my right hand now too, but, it all works too! Just pick things up and "mentally" tell yourself to hold on to it;-)
Right, thanks got the added information,as your finger symptoms are only temporary and are present only in the morning,it is extremely unlikely that your shoulder problems have anything to do with your fingers or a trapped nerve.I agree that it is a bit of wear and tear in the shoulder joint and can be relieved by a gel rub or painkilling tablets.
No big deal.
