How long does skin remain discoloured following cellulitis?

What was the cause of your cellulitis and is there any underlying medical conditions e.g diabetes,eczema?

The discolouration on the inside of my lower leg has never cleared up after a bout of cellulitis a few years ago.It looks like a corned beef leg.
They told me it was dead tissue under the skin and nothing to be done about it.
