I thinkits my sinuses!!

Unwell midweek with a high temp & rigoring & sore throat! I thought i was my tonsils again!!

Im really blocked up & cant taste anything. Developed a big sore on my noseaswell.

Today im still very blocked up- but pain has started in my left jaw & cheekbone! Pressure & my teeth even feel funny!!! Im assuming its a sinus thing? I can "hear" the air if you know what i mean.


Is a decongestant the way forward? X

It sounds as that your self diagnosis is probably correct.

Yes......nasal decongestant IS the way forward with whatever method you choice, spray or tablets.

I would also throw in some Ibuprofen for the pain........at least 400mgms.

Antibiotics not necessary at the moment, but reassess in 48 hours.

A sore on your nose....poor old soul.....if it is on the inside of your nose, then Naseptin cream should do the trick.

Its on the outside its the size of a 1p! Yuck!!!

Thanks- ive bothered the doc enough this year ill self diagnose lol- i have all the necessary medicines! Thanks again Sqad!! Ill troop onto work tomorro but have a PJ day!

can i add to Sqad's prescription a suggestion to also use a saline nasal spray. I have found this year that a nasal decongestant wasn't enough but using it and a saline spray, not at the same time. The saline seemed to help flush the yuck out, which the decongestant didnt do. I know exactly what you mean about the feeling in you teeth, I thought I was getting a dental abcess.

Thanks woof i have a few little tubes of nsaline here ill do that!!! Its eased actually but everytime i sneeze it builds up and becomes painfull!! Teeth felt fuzzy! Lol! Xx

Gosh im trying to eat here and its came on to the other side! It hurts!!!!! Cant taste my dinner xx :0( x
