I have googled it to find out when the procedure will be available here and where but I am not getting any further
Can anyone help me

infection for one ...hernia ? compromising the stomach lining...?? I am no medic but I can see it is neither a natural nor healthy process

Infection and possibly ulceration at the gastrostomy (Opening site)....perforation of bowel during the procedure......vitamin deficiencies due to malabsorption from removal of 30% of stomach contents. .......those are the ones that come to mind Ric ror.

To be fair, these "boys" are no fools and they might say, quite rightly, that the complications are less than those with conventional barometric surgery.

It would be like having a permanent Colostomy......

Also, once you have sucked out a third of your stomach contents, I wonder if there is a way to prevent you sucking out even more, maybe a timer on the device.

When you go out for an .."All you can eat" .. meal. All the gorgers can gather in a 'Pump' room where they can empty their guts together before returning to the table for another helping !

Drink what you can then remove the excess before it takes effect.

As for infections - that's what antibiotics are for isn't it and I've been so careful not to have any of those for at least 5 years so I won't be immune ;-))

ric..not laughing..concerned that you would even contemplate this....come to me and I will lock you in my (verynice) shed...I will have you whittled down as I drop in supplies from the roof....you can get WIFI though so you'll be quite comfortable
