I have had pain on my left temple for 3 months now. It's constant and sometimes throbbing
Blood test for temporal enteritis proved negative. Been referred to neurologist but no appointments until next year! What could it be and how can I manage it?

Go back to GP, have you had a scan? What did GP suggest as possible causes?

That does not exclude a diagnosis of temporal arteritis which must be excluded. I cannot see a Neurologist adding much to the issue..

Go back to your GP and question the relevance of a temporal artery biposy.....which is essential.

Even without a positive diagnosis i would ask the GP if he thought a period of steroids is indicated.

That does sound very unpleasant nerja. If the test for temporal arteritis was negative, you might ask about the possibility of trigeminal neuralgia. This occurs in the temple, cheekbone and sometimes down into the jaw. Sometimes it is shooting pain like electric shock, at others it is a duller ache and throb. Pregabalin is effective in helping this kind of pain (brand name Lyrica).
