Hi - my sister says she could die if I wake her from a deep sleep - pretty sure this is rubbish or I could see some very evil things to do to people I don't like. Could someone help me before I sell my bugle on ebay?
thanks

My Mum however delights in telling peope about the rime she found me at the top of the stairs dressed in just my pants and socks, addressing a non-existant person about whether I was too late to go to Tesco.

Did you know that sleepwalkers are not allowed in the armed services of the US, at least partly because of the threat they pose to themselves and others when they have access to dangerous equipment (such as weapons) and are unaware of what they are doing when they sleep.
The main reason you shouldn't wake a sleepwalker is because of their reaction to being woken up. Some of them become really frightened and disoriented. If that's the case, you shouldn't touch them or lead them back to bed. Some upset sleepwalkers will "flail out violently" if they're touched. So save yourself some bruises, lock up sharp objects and don't wake a sleepwalker.
