Impingment Of Shoulder?

My left shoulder has been really bad I had an injection a couple of weeks ago which has failed. 4th over 2 years. I was sent for an xray and I went to see a doctor who thinks it is an impingment and I have been referred to orthapedics for an ultrasound. I have been told I may need surgery but no idea what kind of surgery.

gordie - I have this problem too. I have found that several sleeping positions aggravate it. Trial and error to work out how to lie so that my arms and shoulders are okay in the morning.

My doctor said that my weight was the cause. Nasty man :-)
