I'm organising my best friends Hen Weekend which is in a 8 bed country house.  Got any ideas for games I can have handy, as time fillers if need be. there's 14 of us. TIA x

Treasure hunt

Find the partner - pin names on people's backs e.g. laurel on one and hardy on another. They have to find out who they are and then find their partner. They can only ask questions that can be answered yes or no.

Freeman Hardy & Willis - sit in a circle - decide someone is manager and he's called freeman, person to his left is hardy, next one is willis, then number round to the end - last one is called teaboy. Everyone slaps hands on knees and claps in rhythm. Freeman pretends to call someone to his office e.g. "Freeman to One". Without losing rhythm, One has to say "One to {any other number/person]" If the person doesn't answer straight away, they move to the teaboy's seat and everyone's name or number shuffles up or down accordingly.  It sounds a bit complicated but it's really easy and it's even better if you're a bit tiddly as you keep getting it wrong and everyone swaps seats!

I just remembered another one we played at a company weekend away. Play in pairs - one judges and the other participates. The players need a bag of marshmallows each.

Players put a marsh mallow in their mouth and say "chubby bunnies". The game progresses round by round with an extra marsh mallow each time.

The judges have to watch that they don't chew, swallow or dribble marsh mallow juice!  The winner is the one that can keep the most marshmallows in their mouth and still say "chubby bunnies" clearly.

The winner when we played was a Yorkshire lass - her vowels were so different from the rest of the southerners that she had an unfair advantage!

Twister Tournament!!

Or as the night draws on, vodka twister tournament :D

Not everybody's cup of tea perhaps, but how about a jigsaw competition?  Useful it it's pouring with rain.

Take two jigsaws containing the same number of ieces (and two large  tea trays on which to assemble them) . Divide the party into two teams and the winners are the team with the fewest number of pieces left by a certain time in the proceedings.

Sadly it doesn't involve alcohol but take an After Eight, tilt your head back and put it on your forehead.
You need to get it into your mouth using only your facial muscles. Seeing the daft faces that everyone makes while trying this is guaranteed to get a laugh!
