Not in Northern Ireland apparently. The quote is from the guidelines on abortion issued on Good Friday.

I have watched NI termination with interest, any state that forces women to travel to the 'main land' for treatment that by law that is allowed in the rest of the UK is definitely backwards.

if the woman says - and two doctors agree - that her mental or physical health would be compromised if she were to continue with the pregnancy, she would be allowed an abortion. uppose it could be argued that having a baby with an abnormality might contribute to this.
I can't see much difference between the new guidelines and what has always happened. Abortion is available on demand, whether it's totally legal or not.

The termination row in NI is run by politicians and the church - they are not taking into consideration the girls and women at risk. Basically its no to termination in all cases even rape!
