Good Evening... I Have A Couple Of Question To Ask Please About Levothyroxine

tablets and Maleria Tablets.
The first question.... I have been on Thyroxine tablets for quite a few years now and have always had them first thing in the morning with a cup of tea.? Now I have read you shouldnt take them with anything but water as coffee and tea will stop them working well....and to wait until an hour before eating of drinking coffee.? I also read I could take them in the evening instead and that way will not drink anything but water with it?
Is this all correct.?
And Maleria tabs.... I understand they have some nasty side effects plus some tablets you must not take with them at all.... I am on as above plus Seroxat tablets.?
Would it be ok to take the Maleria tabs or indeed should I take them at all.?

There are several different kinds of Malaria tablets, which ones are you thinking about and why are you taking them or thinking of taking them.
There are not many 'holiday destinations' where you need Malaria protection.

People say a lot of things about a lot of.........things.

It matters not a jot as to when you take your thyroxine.

I cannot imagine that "malaria tablets " would interact with Seroxat.

Whether you take malaria tablets at all will depend upon where you are going.

Me? if i was confining my holiday to the tourist areas........I would not take anti-malarial therapy............that is just....me.

as to malaria, refer to your medication....we used to take 5 a day for 5 days before, 1 a day during the visit and then 3 a day for 3 days on return, unless it was back out to some shyyte-pit of Africa or wherever....

Back in the day we had to take Larium when we went to Turkey. I was fine on holiday but first day back at the office things happened.
I started waving my arms about above my head. I couldn't stop. It was distracting everyone in the office. My manager insisted I went to hospital.
I went to A&we. They didn't know what to do with me. Never seen anything like it. I eventually stopped waving about. The insisted I wore a neck collar for a few days.
Now this is about 25 years ago. A few years back there was a report that Larium was causing lots of problems. Including muscle spasms and uncontrollable arm movements. So that is one bad side of malaria tablets.
