At two this morning my husband was up sick, again at 5am and 8am. He is still in bed, feeling absolutely washed out. He has had a cup of tea but doesn't feel like getting up. We have just heard a radio program about infected chicken, which is what we had for tea last night! Luckily I am fine. We both ate the chicken - could he get a bug but not me?

Could he get the bug and not you? Yes.

Did you purchase the chicken from the outlet mentioned on the radio? If so contact them to report a case of sickness from it.

it could be the chicken but was your chicken in any way related to the item on the radio? I would suggest its more likely that he has got Norwalk which has been virulent and common this year.
