Vaping

I quit smoking after 20 years last December and went onto vaping. I feel much healthier physically from not smoking and I always hated the smell too so win win.
BUT I only vape when I feel the urge to have a nicotine fix and I get some very strange side effects including a feeling of anxiety and slight confusion. Does anyone else have strange effects from Vaping?

Which is hardly surprising given that the practice of "lighting up" and sucking down nicotine laden fumes hasn't significantly changed. Which is why folk can claim you've not really given up anything. Not yet anyway.
As for the strange effects, I can only guess that you are not yet used to the different set of chemicals you are taking in. Vaping is certainly not a healthy habit. (And as smoking, if affects those around you.) You want to try to cut down as soon as you are able.

Baldric. Perhaps I should educate you on the meaning of "willpower". Without the desperation to fail in your endeavour will power would not exist. Meaning that will power means that you have to battle urges to get the end result. Had you just said that you quit easily and had no assistance I would believe that you would not have taken help. but as you said willpower you are saying that there were many times you failed but had to battle on so don't tell me that you would not have taken the help if it were available back in the days of horse and cart!
I gave up cigarettes on 30th October, last year. I agree with you, PP about only using them when I feel the need to. My theory is that, I'm getting a stronger rush of nicotine than I did with real cigarettes and therefore don't feel the need to keep lighting up.
I've had no bad side effects at all. My chest is clear and I hardly cough, at all now. If been smoking since I was 18, back in 1968.
Who says I have to be "weaned off my addiction?" If my addiction is healthier and safer, what's the harm???
Ever tried non-alcoholic booze, OG?
