My son who works at a well known supermarket, told me 7 people were caught shoplifting at the weekend. Apparantly, they were gypsies? --/travellers? What they were doing, is sending their kids in to steal certain items, run out and hide them under their parent's car. When security guard ran after them, the parents claimed to know nothing about it, then proceeded to tell their kids off with a pretend smack around the ear! Have they no shame??
Doesn't surprise me, although it would have made more sense to hide the goods under someone else's car. So did the supermarket's security guards take the goods back?
I remember seeing a programme where the traveller parents sent out their young children aged around 6 to throw stones at police cars/local authority vehicles/bailiff's cars to smash the windows knowing that no action would be taken
Sadly it's been going on for years and not just in the traveling community.
When I was at school (a long time ago) there was a boy who was made to do that sort of thing by his parents.
He told us he didn't want to but if he didn't he would be beaten or not fed.
Always remember him, what a way to bring up children.
So if the kids are not responsible then surely the adults who are in charge of them must be, and should be charged with allowing their kids to steal ? I can't believe the law is such an ass that it is instead saying no one is responsible.
