Soap & Shampoo

My better half said that on TV yesterday someone was asking if they took the shampoo and soaps form hotels when they leave

Yes of cause we do before you ask,  just d�cor in the bathroom

I saw a big basket of mixed soaps and shampoos on a Car Boot Sale 50p for 5        The cheek

if they are nice soaps and stuff then yes, i do! I always thought it was as In A Pickle says - you are paying for them anyway, so why not take them. I always make sure to drink are many tea and coffee as possible and eat all the biscuits!

I stayed at the Splash Landings hotel at Alton Towers and there were 2 mini swim type bags hanging on the bunkbed (meant for any kids). I have to admit I took those too as they were cute!

A friend of mine takes an empty jar with her when she stays in hotels and empties all the little sachets of coffee into it. She won't take the sachets because she says if they are in the bin, the staff will think she has drunk all the coffee.

I thought they were there for you to take. I love going into the different hotel rooms and seeing the different things provided for you. In some hotels we  have had sewing kits, toothbrushes (not bothered about those as I prefer my electrice one) moisturisers fancy soaps. Great

Truthfully, I have an equal pleasure in not taking anything, just for the slight surprise and pleasure (maybe) the cleaners will get from not having to restock.

In most hotels I've stayed in they replace toiletries every day whether they've been used or not so I take them if they're nice but I don't just take them for the sake of it. When my dad goes away with work he brings me the shampoo/soap from the hotel as a "present", so kind lol
