Yes, about five years ago.
It's nothing to worry about, just take the prescribed meds, hasn't changed my lifestyle at all.
Are you having investigations Anne?
I have been told by a nurse I have arthritis in my legs - he saw it on my xray
I know overdose on calcium d3 that went out of date in 2010
I figure that will save me
Thistles, you have osteoporosis and only take calcium and vitamin D? Are you sure you're not just osteopaenic rather than osteoporotic, or is there a specific contraindication to oral bisphosphonates?
Hi No mercy. I have ostioarthitis, I have had two hip replacements and three knee replacements, I also have a curved spine, it was during the xray for this that I was told that I had osteoporosis
Yes Danny forgot to tell you that I have also had a wrist replacement too, full of metal, but going strong, arthritis runs in the family, I only wish that I could run, but at least I can walk slowly.xxx
That's quite unusual Thistles because bone mineral density is always artificially elevated by degenerative change (osteoarthritis) on a bone density scan (DEXA) and so bone density will be lower than the T-scores suggest....meaning, in your case, you're probably profoundly osteoporotic and therefore anti-resorptive medication such as Alendronate is strongly indicated.
