I hit my leg on the corner of the bed at the weekend and now have a big dark bruise. I go on holiday Saturday and would really like it to be gone. Any one know how I can speed up the process?!

There are many tips online and some may help, exposure to daylight as much as you can also - otherwise just let it have it's time and have a good holiday.
no you're dooooomed ! to a ten day course
say to everyone your husband hits you .....
no - beats you
Peter !!!!!
An astringent contracts body tissues and reduces bleeding, so it makes sense that you can use it to make bruises fade faster and even help heal the underlying damage. Just apply witch hazel to a cotton ball or cloth and hold against the bruise for a few minutes two or three times per day. ( Witch hazel)
arnica cream is supposed to help, no experience of it though just annecdontal
I've used Arnica...and I can't confirm it worked as I'm rarely bruise free...but my cousin was a boxer and he swears by it.
Arnica is a really old-fashioned remedy that grannies used to swear by - which suggests it works.
Yes......if you want to spend your money on a chemical that gives results that "all in the mind"....then go ahead. It is your money.

Arnica.....?.....it,s all in the mind. If used within 24hours, then it "might" reduce the swelling, but the bleeding and bruising will still persist.

The OP said that she did it 3 days ago......nothing will speed up resolution of the bruising.

Witch Hazel.

That "might" help if done within 24 hours after the incident.

xxlisa....forget it...you will be going on holiday with a bruised leg.
I don't suppose you could get hold of a leech ?
