... another weekend nearly with us, they don't half come 'round quick nowadays.
It's been raining since lunchtime here so nowt done outside today, needs a bit of a tidy up atm.
Mrs B just 'phoned to say she's arrived in Norwich safe and sound.
Going into Whitstable for some Pubgrub and a couple of beers tonight, should be fun.

Does anyone have anything exciting planned other than fireworks?

Helping at a table top sale tomorrow. Probably spend a lot of money on the other tables.

Always the way isn't it?
Hiding behind or on the sofa with the dog. She's going through torture right now and doesn't know what to do with herself, poor thing.

We've had a few going off already, they just can't wait, luckily Roger doesn't seem too fussed.

Just popped down the local shop, it's horrible out there, tipping down. We were going to get a bus in town tonight but I've just booked a cab 'cus the bus stops this end of town aren't covered.
One advantage, the rain does seem to have put a dampener on the fireworks, so I think we can leave Roger with the lights on and a TV turned up, he should be ok.
A little bit of a do for the FIL tomorrow.
What's your missus doing up here in East Anglia?

Were we warned? (I've not seen anybody dusting off the red carpet recently)
Isn't it awful pasta, especially when we can do nothing to help them :-(
Going out for a meal for my daughter's Birthday ( 21) - might combine it with my b/day (on the 7th )

Daughter did not want a party or any fuss ( will be doing something in London in the new year for her , as requested by her ) )

Hi Chris, we lived there for 5 years or so in Wroxham, had a riverside place
½ mile downstream from the Hotel Wroxham, loved it.
Now it's Daughter and partner in Norwich, and Granddaughter is there this weekend as well.
Nope - in - roast chicken, roasties, roasted chicory, fennel and baby turnips, steamed greens. White wine in hand, red ready - warm here after the boiler cleaned out for the first time in yonks, two Henry hoover bags of coke taken away and the CO ppm now reading 0.
I'm only about 45 miles from Norwich, Balders, and (although we Suffolk folk hate to admit it) I know it's a lovely city. There are some great pubs too!

Which Whitstable pub are you visiting tonight? (The Ship Centurion is my own favourite there, although the Old Neptune is a good music venue)
I have nothing exciting planned for the weekend. I agree they come round very quick.
Since I retired I can only echo the Dowager Countess of Grantham, "What is a weekend?"
since I retired, it's "What isn't a weekend?"
It isn't a weekend when everyone else is at work :-)
I played darts for the Punch Tavern in Whitstable back in the day. I wonder if it's still there.
Not even fireworks

Just back, horrible night, quite quiet.

Prudie, think that may have been this one, look familiar?

That doesn't open for me properly Balders but if you walked in from Tankerton it was the first you came to on the left from what I remember.
