who is the most inspiring person in your life?? is it someone famous like mother teresa as mentioned in another thread or is it someone closer to home??

i think for me its my aunt... at 19 she gave birth to a mentally and physically handicapped little girl... she coped with this and loved her little girl to bits, she also went on to have four more boys. at 11 my cousin died... obviously this is hard for anyone to cope with but this little girl took up every minute of every day so she found herself not knowing what to do so she went into foster caring... she now fosters cildren mainly with learning difficulties or handicapped children but also has children with behavioural problems. she always has a houseful of childen as well as her own four sons who are now aged between 23 and 13. she is truly inspertional to me as i dont think i would have coped x

I'm only ever inspired by real people I meet throughout my life. I've had many positive influences and really value the advice from people who are wiser than me or who have truly 'lived'. Far too many to mention but I admire them all.

hi lisax,   your aunt sounds like a very special lady, i can understand why you are so proud of her,   for me the most special person in the world is a 74 year old lady,  i met her when she came to work in the childrens home i was in aged 11,  i had been in care since the age of 5, but she was the first person to who i became really attached to, although the staff  were't  supposed to have favourites, i think everyone knew this was a special relationship, ie sweets and outings, secretly without other kids knowing,  any way now at 48, i have kept in touch with her all my life, she has been like a mother to me,visiting me in hospital when i was sick,  always remembering my birthday and christmas presents,  meeting in town for shopping and dinner or just coffe ect.   she is the most special friend in the whole world to me and i love her to bits.

I have lots of people who've inspired me in different ways (mainly people I know, but sometimes famous people too). I know people who are inspirational because they've dedicated their life to helping other people or they've overcome terrible obstacles. But I also find a girl I work with very inspiring because despite her youth she knows her own mind and is a true individual more than anyone else I know. The celebs I find inspiring are people like Stephen Fry (because he seems interested in lots of different things and seems to be constantly learning). Gawd, there are lots of inspiring people out there, I couldn't choose one!
